Job Overview
The Hospice Billing Specialist will perform initial billing for non-Medicare and Medicare payors. In this role, the Specialist will submit timely, accurate claim batches to various non-Medicare and Medicare payors. Additionally, the Hospice Billing Specialist will provide resolution to rejected claims in the clearinghouses and assist with unbilled reporting.

Responsibilities
Hospice Billing Specialist will be able to manage multiple responsibilities including:

Perform the Non-Medicare and Medicare billing processes, which includes:
Submission of initial billing claim batches
Review and analysis on client's unbilled accounts
Corrections to rejected claims in clearinghouses.
Maintenance of initial billing schedules
Development and maintenance of internal spreadsheets and databases, as necessary
Knowledge of and communication regarding issues related to billing, claims rejections, and unbilled accounts receivable.
Training staff, as needed.

Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, specifically with hospice billing.
Experience with Home Health/Hospice/Palliative/Skilled Nursing EMR systems a plus.
