Job Description AUTO & DIESEL FLEET MECHANIC /n /n Transdev in Hamden, CT is seeking a C-Level Diesel Mechanic to bolster our team. This role demands expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines across various vehicles and equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and longevity for our vehicles. /n /n CBA Position: /n /n Position Subject to Collective Bargaining Agreement: /n /n/n /n - $29.50-$33.00/HR (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Payscale) /n /n/n /n Benefits include: /n /n/n /n - Medical, Dental & Vision /n /n - 401 (K) /n /n - Company paid ASE testing, training materials /n /n - An additional $.25/hr. for each ASE certification you acquires /n /n - Annual allowance for tools, boots and prescription safety glasses /n /n/n /n Benefits may vary depending on location policy. The above represents the standard Corporate Policy. /n /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n/n /n - Perform repairs and replacements on diesel engines, ensuring optimal functionality. /n /n - Assist A-Level and B-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks, contributing to efficient workflow. /n /n - Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance. /n /n - Lead diagnostic tests to accurately identify complex issues and determine comprehensive repair strategies for diesel engines. /n /n - Perform advanced troubleshooting and repair tasks on diesel engines, including overhauling and rebuilding components to required specifications. /n /n - Assist with road calls and emergency services as necessary /n /n - Other duties as required. /n /n/n /n Qualifications: /n /n/n /n - 1-2 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic. /n /n - Valid CT license is required /n /n - ASE certifications required; ASE certification program provided /n /n - Mechanic’s Tool Set /n /n - Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable.
