Project Leader - Digital Innovation (The Boston Consulting
Group, Inc. - New York, New York): Lead the ideation, innovation, design
and development of long-term business strategies focusing on
digital innovation for clients in order to achieve superior
profitability, growth and enhancement of organizational capability. Specific
duties include: oversee business development, team and client
management, client relationships, project planning and management; ascertain
and define client need or problem area; manage all case team responsibilities including personnel assignments, research and
analysis, and reports to clients; undertake critical evaluation of
analytical work performed using advanced economic and financial analysis
techniques; coordinate strategic due diligence; execute portfolio analysis
and evaluate long term digital solution investment opportunities,
go-to- market plans for digital business products and services, and
execute the commercialization of digital venture builds; develop, plan and
negotiate joint venture start-up accelerator models to systemize
innovation efforts and ensure implementation; oversee and direct
consultants, junior professional staff and team embedded clients; oversee
preparation of outputs; and present findings to senior client management.
Requires a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management
Science or a related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent)
plus four (4) years of experience as a management consultant or business
analyst, which must include at least two (2) years of experience
researching, identifying, designing, and helping to scale and commercialize
digital businesses, products, and human-centric focused service
solutions. Specific skills/other requirements (quantitative experience
requirements not applicable to this section) - must possess the following:
(i) apply advanced economic and financial analysis theories such as
competitive cost and decision analysis, capabilities assessment, portfolio
review based on financial reports, and experience and scale curve
analysis; (ii) conduct advanced analysis of scale economies, seasonal
effects on financial forecasts, impact of uncertainties on business
outcomes, corporate financing policies and evaluation of factors that
influence a company's debt capacity; (iii) manage individuals, teams and
processes; (iv) ideate, identify and incubate new digital business; (v)
design and perform financial modeling for new ventures, including
competitive landscape analysis, opportunity market sizing analysis,
pro-forma financial statement modeling, and business and investment case
modeling; (vi) identify consumer and market frictions through qualitative
(e.g. Ethnographic interview techniques) and quantitative analysis (opportunity market sizing analysis) to innovate new digital
business concepts; (vii) execute portfolio analysis as well as buy- and
sell-side due diligence to optimize portfolio, including define growth
strategy, develop financial projections and data room materials; and
(viii) develop, plan and negotiate joint venture start-up accelerator
model, including detailed economic modeling and expected impact. Domestic/international travel required (up to 80%) based on company/client need. Must have unrestricted authorization to
