Software Engineering will be a member of the leadership team
representing platform services and enabling the agile development
of products.The Director of Software Engineering will be
responsible for sourcing, mentoring, and managing a platform
engineering team, as well as nurture the team's culture to ensure
that the team is able to produce its best work. Additionally, this
role will partner with product management, clinical, data science,
and business stakeholders to understand and help shape product
roadmaps, while also working with the platform architects to
deliver a scalable and extensible platform and application suite.
The Director of Software Engineering will oversee multiple agile
teams consisting of full stack and front-end engineers. Our ideal

but must be willing and able to work EST hours due to global
teams.Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead, develop and mentor a high functioning, highly productive,
agile, inclusive, motivated, and distributed engineering
organization of between 10-15 engineers.
- Make and own critical decisions and be proactive in foreseeing
and resolving issues.
- Drive and communicate technical strategy across all
levels.
- Participate in quarterly Program Increment (PI) planning
activities, which will have you working with internal and external
stakeholder to define and commit to the delivery of initiatives
that drive continued business value.
- Deep dive technically where needed while keeping a broad
perspective.
- Partner with the product organization to develop milestone
driven roadmaps for new features, and new products and service
offerings.
- Model a culture of innovation and collaboration while
prioritizing business value-based market feedback from our sales,
marketing, and clinical organizations.
- Ability to delegate while remaining accountable for outcomes,
both short and long term.
- Actively develop current team and recruit diverse high
performers that deliver high-quality work and inspire others to the
same. Foster a culture of technical excellence and service
ownership.
- Monitor and track platform performance to ensure response time
and capacity metrics are within desired ranges. Qualifications
- BS in Business Management, Computer Science, related field, MS
or MBA preferred.
- 10 + years of continuously progressive experience leading
engineering teams.
- 3 + years of experience in integrating EMR systems such as
Allscripts, Altera SCM, EPIC, Athena, and Cerner
- Proven experience in EHR/EMR data conversion
- Strong understanding of healthcare data standards, including
HL7, FHIR, and HIPAA regulations
- Strong work knowledge with application, data, and interfaces
with EMR
- Passionate and hands on Engineering Leadership experience
related to healthcare solutions, specifically solutions used in a
Clinical setting, B2C technology patterns, products, platforms and
continued technology learning and improvement.
- Bring a collaborative approach to building products with cross
functional peers and dependent product teams, across organizational
boundaries.
- Ability to succeed in fast paced environment with changing
requirements and priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills (written and
verbal), strong documentation skills, ability to communicate
technical concepts.
- Self-motivated and ability to manage multiple projects
simultaneously.
- Strong sense of collaboration, ownership, urgency, and client
commitment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with different levels of
management, as well as business and technical employees.
- Experience with software development tools, techniques, and
methodologies.
- Experience optimizing and managing a budget and balancing
talent versus cost.The base salary range for this position
is$180,000- $195,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is
eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to
eligibility requirements) listed here.Total compensation is based
on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position,
location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This
