Job Summary:
As the Global Head of Performance Management and Promotions, you
will drive the strategic direction and execution of performance
management initiatives and promotional strategies across the firm.
Key responsibilities include managing the performance management
lifecycle, which includes People Manager Expectations, Objective
Setting, Career Development Month, Mid-Year, and Year-End
reviews.
Additionally, the role involves overseeing our promotions
processes, with a particular focus on Managing Director promotions
and collaboration with the MD Promotion Committee, as well as
managing our recognition programs (BLK Awards).
Key Responsibilities:
- Performance Management Strategy: Design, implement, and manage
a global performance management framework that aligns with
organizational goals, incorporating objective setting, ongoing
feedback, and performance evaluations to drive accountability and
excellence.
- Promotions Process Leadership: Design and oversee a
transparent, equitable, and merit-based global promotions process,
ensuring alignment with organizational talent needs. Lead the
Managing Director promotion process, partnering with senior leaders
on the Managing Director Promotion Committee (MDPC).
- Operational Excellence: Ensure operational excellence across
our talent practices while identifying opportunities for
efficiency, innovation, and improvement.
- Change Management: Oversee the design and delivery of change
management efforts to embed new performance and promotion
practices, ensuring buy-in from leaders and employees through
thoughtful communications and upskilling.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key
stakeholders within HR (Business Partners, Analytics & Reporting,
Regional Talent Management teams, Compensation, etc.) and the
business to understand commercial needs and align talent strategies
to achieve business goals.
- Technology Optimization: Partner with internal Platform and
Reporting teams to build and implement tools to streamline and
scale processes and enhance the user experience.
Requirements:
- Delivery Excellence: Proven track record of delivering
high-quality, accurate, and timely work.
- Strategic Mindset: Ability to think critically and creatively
to solve problems and innovate to align talent practices with
organizational goals.
- Consultative: Demonstrated talent in serving as a trusted
advisor through asking thought-provoking questions to diagnose
issues and brainstorm solutions.
- Change Leadership: Expertise in leading change management
processes to drive adoption of talent practices and key
initiatives, including stakeholder management, communication
planning, and upskilling.
- Collaboration and Communication Skills: Skilled at effectively
collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders. Excellent
written and verbal communication skills, particularly with senior
audiences.
For New York, NY Only the salary range for this position is USD$130,000.00 - USD$170,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including heath care, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
