Registered Nurses utilize the nursing process (assessment, planning, intervention, documentation, and evaluation) to provide direct and indirect patient care based on area(s) assigned, addressing the appropriate needs of all patients. -Follows nursing department philosophies, policies and procedures to develop unique education and care plans for each patient and provide appropriate education and support for family members. -Utilizes judgment, knowledge and understanding of patient and family needs when directing ancillary staff. -
The Float Pool is a critical component of supplemental staffing resources across departments. The Float Pool RN is maintained as a member of the 4th floor/Telemetry staff at CHH and must function across departments in the role of a critical care RN. This role requires established experience and knowledge across variable areas and acuity. Float Pool Staff RNS are trained and work across variable departments (ED, ICU, Telemetry & Med-Surg). - -Qualifications

• 
  
• Maintains current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut
  
• Bachelor's degree in field of Nursing preferred.
  
• Acute Care Telemetry & Critical Care Experience preferred; at least 1 year of recent experience in an ICU setting preferred
