Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Radiology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days - Employment Type: Local Contract WCS Healthcare is currently seeking a Radiology Technologist for a contract assignment at Prestigious Surgery Center in Hamden, CT. Job Function: - Day Shift: Monday through Thursday. - 6:30AM to 3PM. - Position patients and adjust equipment to obtain high-quality images as per physician's specifications. - Set up, operate, and maintain imaging equipment in compliance with established policies and procedures. - Ensure the safety and well-being of patients by maintaining equipment, assessing procedural conditions, and prioritizing both physical and physiological comfort. - Minimize radiation exposure to patients and staff by implementing strict radiation protection protocols and techniques. - Job Requirements: - 2 years of experience as a General Radiology Technologist preferred. - Proficiency in operating a wide range of imaging equipment, including setup, troubleshooting, and maintenance. - Up-to-date knowledge of current trends in clinical practice, healthcare informatics, and innovations in imaging hardware and software technologies. - Graduate of an accredited radiology program with ARRT certification. - BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
