Providence, RI offers an opportunity for a licensed School Psychologist to support high school students within a K-12 educational setting. This full-time contract position, starting immediately, will run through April 2026 with potential for extension. The role addresses a medical leave vacancy, collaborating closely with a full-time psychologist and social worker onsite to provide comprehensive student support. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychological assessments and evaluations for students on caseload Develop and implement individualized interventions to support academic and emotional needs Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student outcomes Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to confidentiality standards Participate in meetings related to student progress and support plans Qualifications and Experience: Rhode Island Psychologist credentials/certification required Experience working with high school-aged students preferred Strong skills in administering psychological assessments, data interpretation, and intervention planning Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Excellent communication and organizational skills Work Schedule and Compensation: Monday through Friday, 7:20 AM to 1:55 PM, 35 hours per week Competitive pay rate between $40 and $48 per hour Position available immediately with contract duration through April 2026 Benefits include: Comprehensive insurance coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life Weekly pay Matching 401(k) and flexible spending accounts Supportive work environment with full-time psychological and social work staff This role provides a meaningful chance to contribute to student success while enjoying valuable benefits and a balanced schedule.
