Job Description Job Description Registered Dental Hygienist Location: Rutland, Vermont Status: Full-Time (32–40 hours per week) Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts only (no nights or weekends) Compensation: $39.92–$60.32 per hour Relocation: Relocation assistance up to $8,000 available Position Overview We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join a well-established, patient-centered primary care organization in central Vermont. This position is ideal for a clinician who is passionate about preventive care and enjoys working in a collaborative environment that integrates dental, medical, and behavioral health services. The incoming hygienist will play a vital role in promoting oral health and hygiene through screenings, preventive treatments, and patient education. Key Responsibilities Perform dental prophylaxis, plaque and calculus removal, and fluoride/sealant application Conduct patient screenings, including oral cancer screenings and head/neck exams Take and develop dental radiographs Record dental charting and patient vitals accurately Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies and preventive care Collaborate with dentists and clinical staff to ensure continuity of care Maintain compliance with state dental practice regulations Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Dental Hygiene Active Vermont Dental Hygiene License Minimum of 3 years’ clinical experience preferred Proficiency in performing complex hygiene procedures Strong communication and patient education skills Committed to a team-based approach to patient care Compensation & Benefits Hourly Pay: $39.92–$60.32/hour, based on experience Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 total, disbursed in $5,000 increments on 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year anniversaries Relocation Assistance: Up to $8,000 available Comprehensive Benefits Package Includes: 401(k) and 403(b) with employer match Health, dental, and vision insurance Life insurance and wellness program Health savings account (HSA) Employee assistance program (EAP) Tuition reimbursement and professional development support Paid time off and generous holiday schedule Employee discounts This is an excellent opportunity for a dental hygienist looking to make a meaningful impact in a mission-driven organization with a strong community reputation.
