Speech-Language Pathologist- Early Intervention Department: Early
Intervention Program Location: Bergen County Salary : $75.00 Hourly
Status: Hourly (Choose your own hours) Job Summary: We are seeking
a dedicated and compassionate Clinical Fellow in Speech-Language
Pathology to join our Early Intervention team. Under the
supervision of a licensed and ASHA-certified Speech-Language
Pathologist (SLP), the Fellow will deliver speech and language
therapy and transdisciplinary developmental services to infants and
toddlers (birth to age 3) and their families. Services are provided
in the child’s natural environment and aligned with the goals
outlined in each Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). The
ideal candidate will collaborate effectively with supervisors,
multidisciplinary team members, and service coordinators to support
family-centered care through evidence-based practices, education,
and ongoing developmental support. Key Responsibilities: Meets with
Supervisor for direct and indirect hours to fulfill required hours
for clinical fellowship. Adheres to Pillar Care’s and Department of
Health Early Intervention System’s Policies and Procedures. Ability
to work in the Early Intervention Management System. Provide
on-going assessment to determine developmental levels, strengths
and need for additional services for child/family and participate
in development of Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP). Develop a
therapeutic treatment plan and educational activities to assist the
family in accomplishing outcomes as outlined in the IFSP. Attend
and participate in IFSP team meetings at the convenience of the
family along with the service coordinator to determine the status
of the child’s progress and plan for future Early Intervention
services. Complete and submit appropriate documentation, including
Family Service Notes, Verification Logs, Six Month/Annual Progress
Summary Reports, Evaluation/ Assessment Reports, Family Surveys,
Exit summaries, and Incident reports, adhering to Policy and
timelines. When servicing a child, in the care of someone other
than the parent/guardian during the E.I. session, or in a Child
Care center, obtain consent to share information with the child
Care provider and develop a means to communicate with the family on
a regular basis for parent education and carry-over of E.I. session
activities. Keeps current of and adheres to safety and emergency
procedures including universal health precautions to prevent the
spread of infectious disease. Respond to Pillar Care mail, email,
text, and telephone communications in a timely fashion. May be
asked to Participate in Regional Collaborative Early Intervention
activities and educational programs. Encouraged to maintain 10-15
hours of service per week. Travel is a condition of employment
Performs other related tasks or responsibilities as directed by
supervisor or program director. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of practices and principles of pediatric
speech/language/oral motor and feeding therapies Working knowledge
of rules and regulations of New Jersey Early Intervention System
Knowledge of normal child development Ability to establish and
maintain relationships with each family/child. To carry out Pillar
Care’s Early Intervention Program Goals and Objectives. Ability to
perform strenuous physical activity. To communicate effectively
both verbally and in writing. To respect and maintain
confidentiality. To adhere to personnel policies and safety
precautions. To establish and maintain working relationships with
children, families, co-workers, supervisors, and administrators
