Requirements:Please read below:Building TechnicianPart-time - 16-24 hours a weekPosition Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the bagging, carting and disposing of all trash in assigned areas, daily pickup and disposal of all recyclables from the apartment hallways.
• Responsible for the cleaning, vacuuming, extracting carpeting, buffing floors of specifically assigned areas of the facility.
• Pick-up and return of daily linen from apartments.
• Responsible for cleaning internal and external campus property as assigned.
• Responsible for keeping guest rooms clean and stocked.
• Responsible for snow removal, sanding of assigned areas and other seasonal tasks as directed.
• Responsible for set-up for events on 1st and 6th Floors or elsewhere as indicated on special function sheets.
• Keeps the Supervisor and/or other departments aware of potential problems with the environment or residents that need attention.
• Responsible for completing work assignment schedule.
• Performs minor maintenance tasks (e.g., light bulb replacement, tightening toilet seats, etc.)
• Uses PPE as required and follows Whitney Center and departmental safety plan.
• Promotes customer service and continuous quality improvement.
• Reports safety and security issues promptly.
• Cross-trains to assist department in other areas as needed.
• Maintains confidentiality and respects the rights and dignity of residents.Education:High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceProfessional Experience:Must have Drivers License to drive trash truck.Starting at $12.00 per hourThe next step in our process is a brief 30-minute assessment.This assessment must be completed to move forward in the application process.
