Laser/Swiss machining enables features to be machined and laser cut in the same process. Our core competency lies in smaller medical components, produced with high accuracy and repeatability. Traditional Swiss screw machining capability is also available for rapid prototyping and production.In addition, Biomerics NLE utilizes 5 axis milling machines capable of producing complex finished components, while holding extremely tight tolerances.Job Description:Biomerics NLE has an immediate opening for an automation engineer/computer programmer at our facility in Monroe, CT. Working in a team environment, this individual will help design, build, program, validate, and document automated manufacturing equipment to meet customer requirements.Job Responsibilities:Communicate internally and with customers regarding program objectives, input, and output requirements.Prepares flow chart diagrams to communicate project requirements and programming sequences.Codes flow chart sequences into computer language.Validates program operation through testing using validation protocols.Prepares instructions for program operation.Implement programs or programmed equipment on the factory floor.Specify electronic components for industrial control (sensors, drives, output devices).Specify Mechanical components such as air cylinders, solenoids, fixturing componentsCreates design documentation for physical items such as holding tools, gripping mechanisms, transport mechanicsAssemble and test electrical control cabinetry.Create Detailed designs for computer and automated systemsSupport and troubleshoot equipment, programs, and processes already in production.Requirements:Electrical Mechanical or Automation Engineering degree or equivalent degree/experience.A minimum of 2 years of hands-on engineering/programming experience.Experience with PLCs, servo and other motion controls, pneumatics, sensors, etc.Solid modeling/CAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks)Hands-on experience with electrical and mechanical assembly, debug, and troubleshooting.Experience with VB.Net, C #, Ladder logic and C++ is a plus.Strong oral and written communications skills.Benefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Life Insurance, Paid Vacation Days, Paid Holidays, 401k Please, No Recruitment Agency calls or emails (we are not using recruitment services for this, or any other role posted).
