compassion. We are seeking a Medical Physicist to join our
Radiation Oncology team. This role is integral to ensuring safe,
accurate, and effective radiation therapy treatments. The Medical
Physicist will participate in physics-related activities, perform
brachytherapy procedures, and collaborate closely with Radiation
Oncologists and technical staff to develop comprehensive treatment
plans. Key Responsibilities - Perform day-to-day treatment
planning, simulation, dosimetry, linear accelerator operations,
brachytherapy, and remote afterloader procedures. - Implement new
brachytherapy and remote afterloader techniques, including policy
development and staff training. - Consult with Radiation
Oncologists to design complex treatment plans (e.g., 3D
simulations, interstitial implants). - Ensure compliance with all
Physics Quality Assurance and Radiation Safety regulations. -
Conduct weekly physics chart reviews and equipment quality control
checks. - Coordinate repair and calibration of technical equipment.
- Assist during intracavitary and interstitial implant procedures.
- Provide education through in-service programs and lectures;
mentor technologist students. - Maintain professional development
through memberships and current literature. - Deliver exceptional
customer service and collaborate effectively with staff, patients,
and vendors. Qualifications - Education: Master’s degree in Medical
Physics or related field. - Experience: Minimum 3 years as a
radiation therapy physicist, including at least 2 years in
brachytherapy. - Licenses/Certifications: - Board Certified or
Board Eligible by the American Board of Radiology. - New York State
Medical Physicist License and Registration. - Skills: - Strong oral
and written communication skills. - Excellent planning,
organizational, and mathematical abilities. - Analytical and
problem-solving skills with sound judgment and initiative. Why Join
