Allied) Department: Radiology Location: Brooklyn, New York (11212)
Start Date: February 23, 2026 Schedule & Shifts Hours: 22.5 hours
per week | 7.5 hours per shift Days Per Week: 3 Available Shifts:
3:45 PM – 12:00 AM (Saturday & Sunday only) 11:45 PM – 8:00 AM
(Overnight) Sunday ? Monday, Tuesday ? Wednesday, Thursday ? Friday
OR Monday ? Tuesday, Wednesday ? Thursday, Thursday ? Friday
Position Summary The Radiologic (X-Ray) Technologist performs
diagnostic radiologic procedures and supports patient care through
pre-treatment preparation, imaging, and equipment operation. This
role requires technical expertise, strong patient interaction
skills, and adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities Patient Treatment & Imaging Perform radiologic
procedures in accordance with physician orders Arrange and manage
patient treatment appointments Operate radiologic and imaging
equipment safely and accurately Take and develop radiographs as
required Pre-Treatment & Technical Support Operate simulator
equipment for localization and positioning Collect physical factors
for treatment planning Perform basic dosimetry for treatment plans
Take patient photographs for verification and documentation Patient
Care & Education Monitor and recognize patient reactions related to
radiologic procedures Provide patient education on procedures,
reactions, and lifestyle considerations Maintain a clean, organized
patient management and imaging area Operational & Departmental
Support Assist with fabrication of immobilization devices and
accessories Instruct residents and technologists on proper
equipment usage Coordinate with inpatient units and assist with
patient transport when needed Ensure proper functioning and routine
maintenance of radiologic equipment Perform other duties as
assigned Required Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Certification in the operation of radiologic equipment Ability to
read, write, and speak English Proficiency with electronic medical
record (EMR) systems Preferred Qualifications 6 months to 1 year of
experience as an X-Ray or Radiologic Technologist Strong
interpersonal and patient-care skills Work Environment Hospital
radiology department Requires prolonged standing, walking, and
physical activity Fast-paced clinical environment with patient
